Clinical's - Day One

Today went great! It was much more relaxed and self paced than I realized. I got to know a lot of the residents, many of which I already love so very much! As many good stories as I want to tell I am not allowed to do so because of laws. Just know that it was an interesting day :) I can say that today I did: Perry Care, Showers, Denture Care, Feeding a Dependent Resident, Making Beds, Served Drinks, Ambulation, Transfers From Bed to Chair and Chair to Bed, Dressed Residents for Breakfast, Vital Signs, Lifted Residents in Bed, Served Breakfast and Lunch, and probably several other things that I am leaving off. I now know that I am definitely in the right profession. I loved what I did today and even though I have to wake up at 3:30 a.m. I can honestly say that I cannot wait to go back tomorrow. I never realized how the residents emotions play into the whole thing. It made me feel so good to help someone do something that they cannot do for themselves. I am so ready to be doing this every day!

This is a little off topic but tonight at dinner me, mom, and Paul went to eat Chinese food in Sulphur Springs and this is what one side of my fortune cookie said.
So, that's what they are always saying? :)

Well, I am beyond pooped. 3:30 came early this morning and I bet it comes even earlier tomorrow. I hope so! :)
