Pretty good for a Tuesday...

Today was a pretty good day at school. It started out slow and boring, but by my third class it got a whole lot better. As I was walking to my car after one of my classes I noticed a sign about a bible study and free lunch on Tuesday's from 12:20 - 1:00. Luckily, that just happened to by my lunch period, so I decided I would stop by. It was pretty neat. A local Methodist Church comes by every Tuesday and does a ten minute bible study and provides a free meal. Today was Cici's Pizza! It was great! The lesson today about giving thanks to God in everything we do. Even when things go bad we need to thank God for even allowing us to become so lifted that things have an opportunity to come down. Instead of blaming or asking  "why" thank Him for the experience while it lasted. We also got a little card that had a verse on it. "God can do anything, you know-- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20 That was a pretty great verse that I had not yet read. Also, I met three people. They were all pretty cool. We talked about work and school. One of the girls in particular was raised a Mormon and didn't convert to Christianity until about a year ago. She is 19 and she has two kids that are 2 and 3 years old. Based on how she presents herself now, you would never guess that she would have had a past that caused her to be pregnant at 16. It's amazing how God works in peoples lives and I am grateful to have met her. It proves that with God, anything is possible.
