Spring 2012 Semester

Yep, I am finally all set up for my next semester. I am actually taking a class over the Christmas holidays during the December Minimester. It is actually a MUCH shorter class and counts for the same credit hours as the regular class. I chose to take the worst one of all so I could go ahead and get it over with and get to take it for a MUCH shorter time. I am taking American Literature during the holidays. BLAH. At least when it is over- it's over! So, next semester I am taking A&P II, A&P Lab II, State & Local Government, Intro Statistics, and Human Growth and Development. Not a bad semester. Also, I will already be considered a College Sophomore even though it is my first real year of college. I am also trying to get in to the Phlebotomy program. I missed the deadline which was October 31st, but I met with an advisor today about it and she said that if the class is not already full then she will push my application through. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED. That will be so awesome if I can be a Certified Nurse Aide AND a Certified Phlebotomist! I really hope this works out. If not I will take it this summer or sooner at another college if possible. It will also look awesome on my nursing school application that I am making great grades AND I have two different nursing licenses. Again, say a little prayer that it all works out. ;)

After this spring semester I will only have 14 hours of nursing prerequisites plus 9 hours that have to be completed at UT Arlington, so this summer, if I am not mistake, I will be able to apply to nursing school. I will have to check on that and make sure. Sometime soon I am going to schedule a meeting with an advisor at UT Arlington to make sure I am on the same schedule that I think I am on. I am so glad that I am so far ahead for the age that I am. Most people my age a barely even starting their prerequisites and I am nearly done with them and holding down a nearly full time job. It feels good. I am glad that I am so focused and determined. Nothing is going to get in my way until I am done with what I want and have to do. :)

Happy Tuesday!
