That's right. When all of you are headed back to work... tomorrow is my Friday. Oh well, you can all say the same thing to me on the actual Friday... it will be my Monday. Tonight was another great night at work. It went by fairly smooth. The only problem is a lot of the residents seem to be getting sick. I have been using sanitizer and washing my hands like a mad man. I sure hope I don't catch what is going around.
Today mom went to go visit Pewee in the nursing home in Quitman. He is not getting taking care of and the last two times mom has gone to visit him he has been a complete mess and his room is totally disgusting. Starting tomorrow mom is going to be working on getting him transferred to where I work. Thank goodness! Even if he doesn't get 100% of the care that he needs at my place it will still be 100% better then where he is now. He may be a handful sometimes but he still deserves good care just like the rest of us.
Well, most of you, if not all of you, have heard the David and Goliath story from the Bible. It is usually one of the firsts stories we learn about as children. David, a young boy who his in no way considered a warrior, goes out to fight the 9' 9"man who is trying to take the Holy Land away from God's people and David ends up killing the giant with one stone thrown from his sling shot. Remember that one? Well tonight was the first time that I had actually read the story for myself from the Bible. It goes on into more detail than we usually learn about. The ending act is David, with his sword, decapitates the head of the giant and leaves it out for the birds to eat. Hmmm... I don't remember that being part of the story in Sunday School. Goes to show that we must read God's word for ourself instead of listening to others interpretations of His word. Not that the ending of this story is a bad one... just not what I had expected at all. Just thought this was interesting.
Goodnight to all! Happy Monday/Friday!
