Today Paul is on a job in Galveston, so that means that me and mom make our usual shopping trip. This time it wasn't for goodies and such. We actually needed the stuff we bought this time, well most of it. I have been going on and on about how good the corn chowder at work smells so mom decided to make some chicken and corn chowder. We are going to eat it tomorrow. So, we went to Brookshire's for things to make that and we were also out of toilet paper and paper towels. We also needed another pumpkin so me and mom could have our pumpkin carving contest... but I will talk about that later. First you need to hear about the pizza cutters..... Well, apparently pizza cutters are on sale at Brookshire's because they have a nice little display of them hanging up on the end cap of one of the isles. Me and mom were chit chatting about who knows what when I decided to pull the cart out of the isle and "BAM!" I knock down the entire rack and all 50 of the pizza cutters on them. It was so loud and the dang things went EVERYWHERE. Needless to say... I wanted to die. Luckily nobody really saw it actually happen, they just heard it and saw the aftermath. Of course though... Mom saw the entire thing and didn't make anything better laughing hysterically and saying "help!" I really wanted to die then. A few people from the store came over to clean up the mess and told me not to worry about it. Apparently that was the second time that happened so they decided to move the display once and for all.
Next, getting mom to sit down and finish anything is like expecting a toddler to sit down and be still every time you want them to. So yes, impossible. I figured the pumpkin carving contest would be no big deal because I figured there was no way that she would sit down and actually finish it... but I was wrong.
I'm not going to tell which one belongs to who... You decide who's is better! :)
So, I LOVE cinnamon sugar baked pecans so I decided to whip up a little something with the left over pumpkin seeds so now the house smells like warm cinnamon and sugar. Yum! Only 20 more minutes until they are finished!
