You can call me Chef Ramsey

For those of you who know about Pinterest, you know that there is an endless load of recipes. Me and mom have found more than enough that we wanted to make so we chose tonight to make Paul a special welcome home dinner. :/

Well, I can first start out by saying my pumpkin seeds last night were a T total DISASTER. If you like burnt popcorn then I will need to write down the recipe for you because that is exactly what these tasted like. When mom went to throw them away they were as hard as a rock and stuck in the shape of the pan.... YUCK. Next mom made her corn chowder. Paul said it tasted "clean" so that was all I needed to hear to know that I wanted no part of that. The entire pan went down the garbage disposal. Mom did make some 7up biscuits that were good just not as fantastic as we had expected. We definitely didn't run back for seconds. Then I found a recipe where you take a whole uncooked potato, slice it super thin but not all the way through, cover it with butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper, and bake it. Well... the oil and butter bubbled EVERYWHERE in the oven and of course caused it to smoke like crazy and the entire house was nearly smothered with yuck smoke. So, as you can imagine... they were awful. Undercooked. Just plain yuck. We had to take a break on all of the cooking to take the oven apart and clean it.

Now, since it is October (breast cancer awareness month) I found a recipe for pink cookies. They are adorable and so super easy to make. Here is the picture of the ones I found online.

This was the one recipe that wasn't a complete disaster. Mine look just like the picture.... right?

These cooked for ten minutes less than the said time, they were smaller than they were supposed to be made, and they were on a nice greased sheet. The product of this is cookies that turned out to be as thin as a sheet of paper, burn to a crisp, and as crunchy as a piece of hard candy. In other words... delicious :/ If you have ever had cotton candy you know how the second it hits your tongue it turns straight into sugar. That is exactly what these did. I will never cook again...... until mom is gone this weekend ;)

WELCOME HOME PAUL! HOPE YOU ENJOYED YOUR DINNER!
